Delhi Cantonment is the last station before the Science Express finally comes to a halt at Delhi Safdarjung. The Science Express was welcomed by Mr. Balakrishnan, Mr. Manohar Gupta, Mr. K V Rao (BASF) and Mr. Chander Mohan (DST) and visited by Mr. Julius Georg Luy (Minister and Deputy Chief of the German Embassy, New Delhi).

Delhi Cantonment is one of the three statutory towns that make up the National Capital Territory of Delhi. This is often abbreviated to Delhi Cantt. Its 2001 Census population is 124,452. The National Capital Territory of Delhi is divided into nine districts. Each district is headed by a Deputy Commissioner and has three subdivisions.
